About the Great Ocean Walk
 |
 |
The Great Ocean Walk, on Victoria’s spectacular west coast, stretches 91 kilometres from the idyllic resort town of Apollo Bay to Glenample Homestead (near to the 12 Apostles). It passes through beautiful National Parks and overlooks the Marine National Park and Sanctuary. The Great Ocean Walk has been designed so that walkers can ‘step on and step off’ the trail at a number of places completing day or overnight hikes. Combined with local accommodation and gourmet produce, enjoy the Great Ocean Walk with bothfeet.

One of the world's great walks
The Great Ocean Walk's development engenders curiosity on many levels, but the most commonly asked questions fall into three categories:
1. Facts about the walk itself
2. The history of the walk's development
and
3. Construction facts and figures.
Who better than the owners of the actual walking trail to tell you how it is? Click on each of the links for the offical Parks Victoria fact sheets on each topic.
