Naturewise and bothfeet: Feel good about the holiday you take.
Naturewise Conservation Holidays and renowned Victorian walking tour operator, bothfeet, have come together in the spirit of conservation, sustainability and adventure, to offer an experience of a lifetime on the world famous Great Ocean Walk.
Three days to truly get away from it all, this brand new Naturewise Conservation Holiday is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Great Southern Ocean, amidst cool climate rainforest, with the exclusive opportunity to stay overnight in Victoria’s only dedicated, purpose built walking lodge.
The bothfeet walking lodge has been created as a haven for walkers, and in keeping with its environment, it has been built with the highest principles of sustainability. Architect designed, it features passive solar design and cross ventilation to reduce the need for power generated cooling and heating; spring and rain water are harvested on-site; solar powered hot water; a grey water system (all soaps and shampoos supplied are naturally organic) and interior fabrics are made from hemp and vegetable based dyes.
The Naturewise small group experience includes two fully guided bothfeet walks on the Great Ocean Walk, from Castle Cove to Johanna (8km) and from Princetown to the Twelve Apostles (6km); and daily participation in hands-on conservation projects, the aim to conserve this precious pocket of wilderness.
The fully inclusive package includes two nights accommodation at the bothfeet walking lodge, delicious chef prepared meals using finest quality local produce, experienced guides, fully guided walks, supervised contribution to conservation and return transfers from Melbourne.
Both operators will contribute the profits of the trips back to the conservation projects of the area.
